The Adventure continues at the Melkweg in Amsterdam on Saturday April 20th 2019! It is a unique event for Amsterdam with Italodisco/French Touch/Synthwave/Synthpop/80sfunk/electro music from the Netherlands and abroad. You can see DAVID VUNK,Dana Jean Phoenix,Sheila and the Kit, Starcadian and the organizer himself. DJ Devereaux 85 will play his own awesome sets with music from past en present. Straight out of Rotterdam, David Vunk is the true beast of the harbour city and the main man behind the ever-playful Moustache Recordss. Known for his wide collection and graceful skills, We are excited to have one of the hottest deejays out there controlling the Night Arcade decks. David Vunk is about to take you to the next level dropping the sickest Italo, Techno, unknown, forgotten, and original 80’s tracks in the mix!
Dana Jean Phoenix (Live): For the lovers of pure Synthwave. We are extremely excited to present all the way from Toronto Canada, The Queen of Synthwave: Dana Jean Phoenix! Dana has been a main stay in the Synthwave scene for years and collaborated with many A-list Synthwave artists world wide including our own Dutch dreamwave hot shot Timecop1983. Her latest album Pixeldust is one of her best albums yet. Songs like “Far and Away” and the beautiful ballad “Written” are only a few of our favorite picks of her new album. Be aware, she’s got many more dance tracks up her sleeve. This is your chance to witness the queen of Synthwave live!
Sheila and the Kit (Live): We are thrilled to present the next best Electropop band to conquer the world. This Dutch band is the perfect fit for Night at the Arcade! Their songs are insanely catchy and fresh! It’s got some of that 80’s vibe and hooks that we love. The Kit’s drums and synth solos are wicked! Add the looks and amazing voice of Sheila to it, and you’ve got one heck of a band that will rock your socks off! Check out their hits “Time again” and “liar liar kill kill” to prepare for what’s coming for you!
Starcadian (Live set): We are psyched to have this Synthwave slash French Touch gem traveling all the way from Brooklyn New York to Amsterdam for a first time performance in The Netherlands at Night at the Arcade! In an interview found online, he was asked how to describe his music: “I like to describe it as ear movies. I basically make soundtracks to imaginary movies that I wish I had seen when I was younger. I like to visually, aurally and slowly tell a story with every lyric in every song.” This is the one time opportunity to see Starcadian live! Listen to his album Midnight Signals to get you pumped!
